Why should I stain my fence, deck, or other wooden structure?
Staining protects against UV, rain, and snow while maintaining appearance and value.
How long does a stain application typically last?
Usually three to five years depending on exposure and maintenance.
What types of products do you use for staining?
We primarily use high-quality oil-based stains. Water-based solid stains are available for a more opaque finish.
Do I need to apply a sealant over the stain?
No. The stains we use function as both stain and sealant.
How long should I wait before staining a new deck?
Wait until the moisture content is under seven percent. Cedar typically needs three to six months, while treated pine often needs about a year.
